The Dream of the Landgreen family to take 120 acres of their farm and turn it into a Golf Course began in 1998. It began with the opening of the driving range in that year, then the construction of the course began.Contractors were hired to help construct the Greens and Tees.Meanwhile the Landgreen family,Tim,his wife Debbie and four children, Mike, Jeremy, Melissa, and Danielle began working on the Fairways.There never was a lack of disking ,picking rock,seeding,planting and mowing to keep everyone busy.These tremendous amounts of sweat equity help to keep the total cost of construction within a reasonable amount, for a project of this size.

Northern Pines Golf Course slowly and laboriously came into existence. A beautiful, scenic par 36,  3215 yards long at the blue tees and 2722 at the red tees.The Course could be described as a "drivers golf course" with only one par 3, 2 par 5's, and 6 par 4's. The picturesque drive over the stocked trout pond from the seventh Tee can be a challenge to some golfers in reaching the seventh Green. However the wide Fairways and open Greens are forgiving for the less then seasoned golfer.
